At Smokey’s Diesel and Auto Repair, we take pride in the quality of our work and the satisfaction of our customers.
Our Service Warranty & Guarantee Policy is our promise that every repair, replacement, and inspection we perform meets or exceeds industry standards for safety, reliability, and craftsmanship.

This policy outlines what’s covered, for how long, and how to make a warranty claim if you ever experience an issue after service.

1. Our Promise to You

We guarantee that all services performed by Smokey’s Diesel and Auto Repair are completed with professional-grade tools, certified parts, and skilled workmanship.
If any problem occurs as a direct result of our labor or a covered part during the warranty period, we’ll make it right — fairly and promptly.

2. Warranty Coverage

A. Labor Warranty

All labor performed by Smokey’s Diesel and Auto Repair is backed by a 12-month or 12,000-mile (whichever comes first) workmanship warranty.
This covers any defects or failures that result directly from an error in the installation, adjustment, or repair process.

B. Parts Warranty

All new parts installed by Smokey’s Diesel and Auto Repair are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which typically ranges from 12 months to lifetime, depending on the brand and part type.

If a covered part fails within its warranty period, we will replace it under the terms of the manufacturer’s policy.
If labor is required to replace a warranty-covered part originally installed by us, we will cover labor costs for the first 12 months or 12,000 miles.

C. Specialty and Diesel Components

For diesel systems, transmissions, and high-performance or heavy-duty components, warranty terms may vary based on manufacturer coverage and operating conditions.
Warranty details will be clearly listed on your service invoice for your records.

3. What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover issues resulting from:

  • Neglect, misuse, abuse, or lack of proper maintenance

  • Subsequent damage caused by unrelated mechanical failures

  • Modifications, aftermarket tuning, or unauthorized repairs performed elsewhere

  • Normal wear-and-tear items (e.g., brake pads, filters, fluids, belts, bulbs, wiper blades)

  • Damage caused by accidents, road conditions, weather, or environmental factors

  • Commercial fleet abuse beyond reasonable operation standards

4. Warranty Claims Process

If you experience an issue after service that you believe is covered by warranty:

  2. Inspection and Evaluation
    We’ll inspect the vehicle to determine whether the issue falls under warranty coverage. If it does, repairs or replacements will be completed at no cost to you for covered items.

    Our goal is to resolve all warranty-related claims quickly and fairly, keeping you informed throughout the process.

5. Transferability

Warranty coverage applies to the original customer and vehicle serviced by Smokey’s Diesel and Auto Repair and is not transferable to another owner or vehicle unless otherwise stated.

6. Mobile and On-Site Service Work

All mobile repair services are covered under the same warranty terms as in-shop repairs.
If warranty work is needed and can safely be completed on-site, Smokey’s will schedule a mobile service at no additional charge within a reasonable service area.

7. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:

  • Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule.

  • Retain proof of services performed by Smokey’s (invoices or receipts).

  • Notify Smokey’s promptly if an issue arises — before additional damage occurs.

Failure to do so may void coverage if it results in additional or preventable damage.
